Mrs Manwaring is our Senco Co-ordinator (AEN Additional Educational Needs). She also runs the board games club and is the proud owner of a webcam to view the bluetits in Class 2.

We had a 'fruitful' start to this new term by picking apples from our own school orchard. We were surprised to see just how many apples our trees had produced....... a bumper crop!

We sorted the apples into different varieties and counted them in 1s, 2s and 5s.

We then went on to make our delicious crab apple jelly. We learnt about fractions when cutting the fruit into halves and quarters. The cooking involved measuring, weighing, straining and dividing the jelly into pots. Finally, we designed covers for our produce. The best part of the day was……… all of it!!!
