Class 3 have been very busy learning about the Romans this term. The children have carried out research using books and the internet. Our keen historians then visited Lullingstone Roman Villa where they attended a workshop session about life in Roman Britain. After the workshop the children were able to explore the grounds. They examined the beautiful mosaic on the floor of the villa and looked at the remains of the underground heating system and bathing area. The children were also able to try on some Roman tunics and play some Ancient Roman board games. At lunch time we tasted the Ancient Roman Bread that we had made. The day ended in some physical excercise on the wonderful climbing area. We all had a memorable day.Thank you to everyone!
